Wellness is the pillar of the village. The integrated wellness lifestyle we are seeking to create will be driven by our natural environment – Tavira and the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the urban and landscape planning of the village, the design of the buildings, the specialised wellness facilities and the programmes and activities which will be designed and implemented by the wellness team, managed by GOCO HOSPITALITY.

Following 30 years’ hospitality experience across four continents – with companies such as The Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, Oberoi, Rafael Hotels and Mandarin Oriental – Ingo Schweder, the GOCO CEO was diagnosed with cancer. His own personal fight against the disease saw him combining advanced western medical treatments with deep research and an adoption of holistic healing methods. Witnessing the growing global interest in healthy lifestyles, along with an awareness of the need for a turnkey solution for tailor-made spas and wellness resorts, Ingo created GOCO Hospitality in 2008.

THE WELLNESS FOCUS:
HEALTHY NUTRITION – “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food” (Hippocrates) – The Mediterranean diet

NATURAL THERAPIES – to reactivate the regulatory power of our bodies, seeking integrated solutions to strengthen the immune system and enhance the body’s own healing power.

HEALTHY LIVING ACADEMY – conferences, healthy cooking classes, relaxation, meditation, yoga, mindfulness and other activities.

HYDROTHERAPY – Toning pool, swimming pool, hydromassage beds, foot bath, Finnish sauna, Roman thermal bath, steam bath, cold water pool and swan’s neck jets, with a choice of relaxation areas in a unique setting.
